Saw this mini library on a walk in my neighborhood. The materials it was made from matched the house of the yard it was in. What a great idea! There was everything in the box from R.L. Stine’s famous YA novel series “Goosebumps” to a book entitled “Egonomics”, the name of an interesting psychological theory. I fished a copy of a James Patterson novel from the box, and thought about the book exchange the rest of the walk.
I concluded that on a macro level libraries will never die, if people continue to put them in places like this. On a micro level, I can’t wait to do some guerrilla marketing when my novel is in print. Also, I am excited to contribute some books to the exchange. Because isn’t that the second best part of writing and reading? Sharing words with others?
Who would vandalize that? It’s such a great idea.
I don’t know… pesky kids? *shakes fist
Pesky videogamers. LOL.
Love these little libraries. If I knew it wouldn’t get vandalized, I’d put on in my neighborhood!
Oh I hope ours doesn’t get vandalized! I would be crushed and im sure the wonderful people who put it up would to. I need to make them my friends
What a fabulous idea – I love this so much!!
I know! I want to put one in my yard
